5 Beautiful Signs You Are Healthy All Over

A recent study found that less than 3% of Americans lead a healthy lifestyle. This is a worrying number for many reasons. Luckily, there are plenty of small changes you can make to live a more healthy life.

If you’re unsure about where your health stands, there are some things you can look out for. There are several clear signs you are healthy and indicators of when you’re not. To learn about what some of these are, read on.

1. Clear Skin

Sometimes, your health is written all over your face. If you’ve got eye bags, this is a sign you’re not getting enough sleep. If you’re breaking out in spots, this is an indicator that your diet could be poor, or you might be experiencing a lot of stress at the moment.

Generally, if you’re in good health, then you’ll be able to tell from your skin. If you suffer from acne, then this is an obvious exception to this rule.

2. A Beautiful Smile

Your dental health is very much a part of your overall physical wellbeing. If you’re eating well and brushing your teeth regularly, then you should have healthy teeth and gums.

If you’re not satisfied with your smile for some reason, then you can always take steps to make it look a little more perfect. You can view more on dental implants and other types of dental treatments here.

3. High Energy Levels

If your body is functioning as it should be, you should never be feeling lethargic or low on energy unless you’ve got a valid reason to. If you’re feeling tuckered out, and you’ve just run a marathon, that’s perfectly normal. If you feel like you’ve just climbed Mount Everest after walking up the stairs, this isn’t a good sign.

If your energy levels are not where they should be, you could be vitamin or nutrient deficient. Make sure you’re getting enough iron and vitamin B12.

4. A Healthy Weight

When you’re eating a healthy diet and getting enough exercise, your body weight should reflect this. If you’re an unhealthy weight (either too heavy or too light) this will almost always mean something is amiss.

But “healthy weight” looks different for everyone. Although it’s not a perfect system, checking a BMI chart can help you to see whether you’re in a healthy range for your height.

5. Healthy Bowel Movements

Your bowel movements are like the canary in the coal mine. Often, they’re the first sign that something is going on with your health. When you eat a balanced diet and drink plenty of water, your bowel movements should be regular and easy to pass.

Generally speaking, you should be having a bowel movement every 1 to 2 days. It should be passed in one piece and not be too hard or soft.
